Through a simple user interface, you can have a conversation that provides real-time catered feedback. The vibe and feedback are tailored to your learning goal (e.g., office work, traveling). The difficulty is also constantly adapted to your level.

Inspiration

  • Children of this generation, even with new curriculums, most, if not all, could not demonstrate spoken proficiency outside a classroom.
  • These learning methods rely on repetitive exercises and often overlook verbal skills, a key indicator of the ability to speak with others.
  • We want it to be a convenient app that everyone can access anywhere to practice verbal communication.

  • Generates a natural conversations from topics that you give.
  • Assess your proficiency level through ACTFL's guidelines and dynamically adapt to your level.
  • Supports voice-to-text and text-to-voice for a natural speaking flow.

My impact

#1: Designed a responsive React app, soon to be adapted to React Native.

#2: Trained a text classifer model with synthetic dataset from GPT3.5 Turbo to assess user's proficiency level.

#3: Hosted and configured Nous-Hermes-2-Yi-34B model for optimized response on TogetherAI.
